Mei – Survivor #6 : In Her Own Words
My name is Mei. I was almost aborted.
My mom conceived me in 1971. At that time Chinese government issued single child policy also named Planned Parenthood. They force every family (to) only have one child in the city. My mom and dad already had two children. My mom later had another two and she was forced to abort them. So this time she was pregnant again -with me. So the union found out and forced her to have (an) abortion again. They prescribed very strong herbs – kind of like poison to her. She had to take it. So for the first time she had very heavy bleeding. She went back to the hospital. They said, “Do it again.” Then the second time she had heavy bleeding. She went back to the hospital. I was still in her womb and they said, “Do it again!” (She) took the herb again. The third time my mom had heavy bleeding and my dad took her to the hospital. This time it almost took my mom’s life. So the physicians know that they couldn’t give my mom herb anymore. But they said, “It is very easy, we can do the saline abortion. We just inject something into your womb and the child will be gone.” My dad said, “No way,” for killing like this. So my dad took my mom home.
When I was about six or seven months old (in the womb) my mom had the contractions so she was taken to the hospital again. The physicians sneakily wanted to do a partial (birth) abortion this time, but somehow they did not succeed and I was born alive, but they took me away from my mom. They didn’t allow her to see me for two or three weeks.
My mom’s friend – best friend went to peak (in on) me. Then she came back and gave my mom good news. She said, “You know you have a little girl. This girl has four limbs. I counted!” She wanted to give my mom the good news (that) I was alive and (that) I look normal.
So I was born alive, but I was very sick and with lots of physical issues – countless trips to the hospital. But I look back and I can understand God’s invisible hands have been protecting me the whole time and today I am a mother myself. I am happily married. I have two wonderful sons. Whenever I see them I just can’t believe how good life is because if I was not here, I am not giving them life today and I just want to tell everyone (that) life starts at the very beginning when the little life is conceived. I want to speak for those unborn – they deserve to live their life.

I always remember the verse that God gave me, “Before you were born I knit you in your mother’s womb and before you see the light of the day, I give you life and I want to anoint you to be a prophet to share the gospel to the whole world. Thank you.

Mei is such a beautiful inspiration and confirmation of our purpose. I am so grateful that she is alive. Thank you for posting this video and I will share it with everyone.
