Emily – Survivor #3

A missionary in Venezuela at the time, Amy’s mother, Eudis, had a difficult time getting pregnant with her first child. She and her husband were elated when they discovered she was expecting another baby. Their excitement soon turned to despair when their doctor wasn’t able to find the baby’s heartbeat during a routine check. After being advised by her doctor to evacuate the “dead” baby from her uterus so that the miscarriage wouldn’t cause any other health complications, Eudis went home and prayed. She was heartbroken. Heavy cramping during the night didn’t result in an “elimination” so she decided not to return to the doctor. Instead she would believe for a miracle.
It wasn’t until she was five months along that it was confirmed that she was indeed carrying a precious, healthy life within her. Amy is now a vibrant dancer who spreads light and joy wherever she goes. Check out Emily’s survivor video here.
