Dori – Survivor #4

Finding herself pregnant after an illicit, non-committed affair in college, Linda decided to have an abortion. Being a pastor’s daughter, she worried that an unplanned pregnancy would bring shame and embarrassment to her family. Before following through with the abortion, she confided in her older sister who encouraged her to share the news with their family. The result of that conversation changed everything. Her fathers gracious response toward her and her unborn baby was just the support she needed to change her mind. No judgment, no anger, just open arms and an open heart for his little girl that was so afraid. To this day Linda’s entire family point to that defining moment as the one responsible for bringing them closer together and creating a deep bond that has only strengthened over time. Linda’s boyfriend, Ed, was ready to take his feelings for her to the next level and purposed soon after. Their love affair has stood the test of time and they have been married ever since!

Dori was an unexpected gift from the very beginning and continues to be so now as a young woman. Her love for children has inspired her in many ways and is currently expressed in her volunteering her time as a dance instructor and raising three beautiful children of her own.
